We believe every child should thrive. We Make Indiana is again partnering with Tutor-ND to help our South Bend third graders become good readers. Our collaboration last year helped achieve a historic 10% increase in third grade reading proficiency. But even so roughly 30% of our third graders are falling behind.

High-impact tutors spend three half-hour sessions with a student each week. Tutor-ND trains, places and coaches tutors. 

We Make Indiana has set a goal of recruiting 50 tutors from its congregations and the broader community to help through June
